But now I will choose the simple one of using windows explorer... Step one... On the left pane of windows explorer, right click “This Pc” then click “Manage” then click “Disk Management” then it will display a list of drives available or attached to your pc. After that you will choose the drive you want to shrink then it will be “c”, Right click on it then click on “Shrink Volume” then it will ask you how much space you want shrink.
Enter the amount of space you want to shrink then click “Shrink”. Remember you did not yet created a partition but created the space for your new partition, Then on the the same drives screen you will now see the space you shrinked from drive “c” then that space will be used to create your new partition. Now that we have space for our new partition....Right click that new “Unallocated space” that you shrinked then click “Create partition” so now you can select the whole unallocated or even create two partitions on it by allocating the size of your new partition....Now you can click “create” then your new partition will be now created and will appear on the list of drives available on your pc.
